The goal of my thesis research was lightweighting of frontal crash structures while improving crashworthiness by applying tailored hot stamping of ultra high strength steel. This work was sponsored by Honda R&D Americas, ArcelorMittal, and Cosma. • Thesis title: “Axial crush performance of hot stamped tailor welded blanks – experiments and numerical simulations”.
