• The goal of my thesis research was lightweighting of frontal crash structures while improving crashworthiness by applying tailored hot stamping of ultra high strength steel. This work was sponsored by Honda R&D.

• Conducted dynamic crash sled tests, as well as quasi-static tests, to characterize the performance of hot stamped TWBs in axial crush and 3 point bend configurations.
• Developed LS-DYNA models that predict the response of these dynamic and quasi-static tests.
• Designed test fixtures in SolidWorks to conduct component level sled tests of an SUV front crush rail.
• Gave regular update presentations to project sponsors to summarize results and gain feedback.

Designed and managed the construction and installation of a hydrostatic testing station for railway tank cars. This included component selection, solid modelling, stress analysis, preparation of drawings, and coordination with suppliers and other departments.

Coordinated the production of prototype subframes as a Tier 1 supplier to an automotive OEM, managing delivery deadlines, production scheduling, and component availability.

Cold Lake Operations, Cold Lake, AB

Worked with the plant facilities engineering group to update change management documentation for an oil sands processing plant. Verified the as-built condition of piping and instrumentation in the plant, then updated process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to accurately show it.
