Work consisted of helping to bring different stages of projects to timely completion to the satisfaction of clients. Projects ranged from Phase I archaeological surveys in the midwest, to a phase II project on Fort Benning, GA that consisted of dozens of sites that needed additional testing.

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

Performed field and lab duties during Phase III operations for Royalston Ave. Southwest Light Rail project. Excavated test units, filled out paperwork, cleaned, sorted and logged artifacts in the lab, helped with the initial analysis of artifacts.

St. Cloud, Minnesota Area

I worked to help create a public archaeology program with the Stearns History Museum including a children's archaeology day camp, a series of artifact ID events throughout the county, as well as a public volunteer portion of an archaeological survey where volunteers could help excavate shovel tests under supervision. I also helped communicate to museum.

Worked as a floor associate in Tools and Hardware, Building, and Plumbing. Responsible for customer service, helping customers locate products on the floor, and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the store.

Department Of Anthropology

I helped the faculty of the Department of Anthropology in archaeological research, as well as outreach in the community through public artifact identification events, archaeology in the classroom program with local third grade classes, and leading an excavation on campus that had public participation.

Jackson, Michigan

• Performed fieldwork on multiple surveys, gaining experience on all phases of survey and excavation on sites throughout the Midwest. Projects include:
• Phase I survey of sections 3 and 4 of the I-69 corridor in southern IN. Mainly shovel tests with some walkover survey in plowed fields. (4/2006 – 6/2006)
• Phase I and phase II survey and excavation of proposed “REX East” pipeline project in central IL, including pedestrian survey, shovel testing, test unit excavation across more than 5,000 acres. I also used the Trimble.
• Phase III mitigation of site 11ST540/541 in Scott County IL for the REX East pipeline. Excavated 2x2m units.(9/2008 – 11/2008)
• Phase I survey and GPS operation for the Garrison Creek project covering over 1000 acres in northern Kentucky. Work consisted of mainly shovel testing and limited walkover survey. (7/2009 – 9/2009)
• Phase I (various) for Enbridge pipeline MN. (9/2009 – 12/2009)

Gulf Shores AL, Ocean Springs, MS

• I monitored cleaning operations on the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, and Gulf Islands National Seashore after the Mississippi Canyon 252 (BP / Deep Water Horizon) oil spill. Duties included inspecting beaches.
• Also acted from July 2011 to December 2011 as the Alabama Task Force Leader, scheduling crews as needed in response to plans from BP cleanup crews, overseeing operations of task forces on 3 different response areas.

Cincinnati, Ohio

• Phase III mitigation of site 23PI1381 in Pike County Missouri for the REX East pipeline. Excavated 2x2m excavation units. (8/2008-9/2008)
• Phase II survey of site 11MS2352 north of Collinsville, IL. Excavated 1x1m units and limited walkover survey (11/2009)
• Phase I and II work on the 300/NEUP line for El Paso. Shovel testing, walkover survey, and 1x1m test units. (5/2010–7/2010)

I performed the daily audit for the restaurant, lounge and hotel, as well as assisting guests with late night/overnight needs such as checking in, noise disturbance, room needs etc.

Soudan Underground Mine State Park, Soudan, MN

I was responsible for moving tour groups, and escorting the tour group on their journey into the mine, answering questions that guests had, both underground and on the surface, and occasionally giving bench tours to persons that had difficulties with the underground environment. I gathered and compiled information for stories, weather forecasts, sports, and special reports through use of wire sources, local and national newspapers, and the internet. I was responsible for preparing and recording, and editing portions of the broadcast using Cooledit Pro software, and was also responsible for live broadcasts for the 5:00 news program.

Responsibilities included keeping the parking lots clear of carts, trash, and other debris; keeping bags stocked for customer use; keeping the store floor clean, well stocked, and faced; stocking the frozen and dairy departments of the store, and aiding customers in finding goods.
