• Supervise a district of 12 credit unions between $1 million and $1.2 billion in assets to oversee and monitor financial and operational health to provide an assessment of liquidity, credit, interest rate, compliance, reputation and strategic risk and provide regulatory oversight to minimize and prevent loss to the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).• Develop and implement supervision strategies for credit unions in district• Conduct independent examinations by applying knowledge of GAAP accounting and auditing theory and concepts to examine loans, evaluate investments, reconcile general ledger accounts, analyze earnings, expenses, dividends and reserves, and verify outstanding member accounts• Analyze credit union financial data prior to conducting evaluations to determine risk areas• Ensure credit union financial statements conform with applicable laws, regulations, policies, programs and procedures• Analyze the effectiveness of internal controls surrounding the oversight of cash, expenses, lending, collections, and asset-liability management• Prepare reports, memoranda, correspondence, and written responses to senior management• Provide guidance and advise credit union management to improve policies, procedures, and strategies to increase earnings and develop and assist in net worth restorations plans• Lead teams as examiner-in-charge of up to 10 examiners and specialist to complete annual exams for credit unions over $1 billion in assets• Serve as technical expert on federal consumer financial protection laws and consumer compliance regulations as a Consumer Compliance Subject Matter Examiner on a regional and SE group level • Review credit union compliance with federal regulations such as Credit Card Act, Truth in Lending Act, Flood Act, S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act, The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Flood Act, Federal Credit Union Act, and NCUA Rules & Regulations.
