Visited TIFR to help with construction of a time-resolved near-field scanning optical microscope (TR-NSOM) to study charge carrier dynamics within perovskite thin-films with sub-picosecond temporal and sub-100 nanometer spatial resolution.

Pursuing my Ph.D. in materials science and engineering. My thesis is entitled, "Multifunctional Plasmonic Electrodes for Inverted Organic Photovoltaics." I have been studying the design of optically-active ("plasmonic") electrodes both computationally and experimentally that can be used to improve the efficiency and lifetime of conjugated polymer-based solar cells.

Graded quizzes and exams for the course entitled, "Materials Science and Engineering of Polymers" in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

Fellowship awarded jointly through NSF's East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) program and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Summer Program. Studied the influence of plasmonic metasurfaces and ultrathin MoS2 films on the charge carrier dynamics in polymer:fullerene thin films using ultrafast transient pump probe dynamics. Further investigated the impact of the plasmonic metasurfaces and MoS2 on the absorption and photoluminescence of the polymer:fullerene thin films. Received class 1000 clean room training in addition to magnetron sputtering, E-beam evaporation, profilometry, and 4-point probe resistance measurements.

Assisted the materials characterization and instrumentation laboratory for undergraduates in the materials science department ("Lab III"). This involved performing each experiment prior to the students to ensure everything worked properly, supervising the students during their lab session, answering theoretical questions about the experiments, making/giving quizzes before each lab, and grading quizzes and lab reports each week.

Conducted research in physics and chemistry departments as an undergraduate. In physics, I studied the optical properties of gold nanoparticles synthesized using the citrate- and THPC-reduction methods. I also studied the biological incorporation of magnetic nanoparticles via functionalization using gold nanoparticles. In chemistry, I studied the solvation of dialkyl imidizolium ionic liquids and assisted as a technician for the nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer.

Assisted in the organic chemistry lab for one year. This involved helping students with their experiments, supervising, and answering theoretical questions in lab. This also involved grading weekly lab reports.Assisted in physical chemistry I (thermodynamics and chemical kinetics) for one semester. This involved holding review sessions for students and proctoring and grading exams.Assisted in biochemistry lab for one year. This involved preparing the chemicals/solutions for each lab at least one week in advance.

Worked at the front desk of the 3 primary residence halls at the university. After one semester, I became the manager of the front desks, which involved scheduling, helping students find covers, being on-call every other week 24 hours/day. Also worked as a resident advisor, where I helped residence with a variety of on-campus problems, served as a liaison between residents and other departments, and dealt with violations of residence hall policies.
