Senior Product Manager, Software And SdkPison Jun 2022 - May 2023Boston, Massachusetts, UsPison is a Series A biotech w/patented ML neural biosensor technology that translates physiological energy from the brain into machine-interpretable software. I lead mobile and cloud software, focusing on scalability of Kotlin Multiplatform, developer integration, and improving hardware support. As part of my strategy and roadmap initiatives, I uncover deficiencies that threaten Pison's success at scale and thread in structural work alongside larger product development deliverables.To support Pison's neural gesture goals, I developed GTM and pricing strategy for aPaas, DaaS, and DTC products that integrated gesture control automation with smart home devices. This work involved a range of skills including market research, architecture roadmapping, and demo application development.Operationally, I established and aligned the Product team on quarterly roadmap structure to bring consistency across hardware, machine learning, and software priorities, then worked cross-functionally with Program Management to update Jira Cloud. This included changes to Jira Issue fields and their usage, integration of R4J to better manage product requirements, and updating Plans with dependencies to drive a new approach to program reviews. To establish clear roles and responsibilities, I created Pison's first SOPs to manage bandwidth and comms allocated to Support and Sustaining efforts.I also delivered Pison's Developer Portal, a zero-to-one effort to create an online portal with SDK docs, downloads, support, and interactive Unity playground. Under resource constraints, I handled all design and sourcing: creating Figma mockups, deployed using Webflow CMS, opening PRs for markdown documentation, and integrating HubSpot CRM, which I also brought to life. Unity work was delivered by engineers working off a feature Epic that described the business value and user experience to be provided. -
Product ManagerDetect Jun 2021 - Jun 2022Guilford, Ct, UsDetect is a biotech startup launched out of the 4Catalyzer incubator in Guilford, CT. The company was started at the beginning of COVID-19 to create a fast, accurate at-home diagnostic product based on the gold standard PCR test. As Software PM, I lead the development team through several different development priorities: mobile, eCommerce, backend, and cloud.Detect received Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA on October 28, 2021. As Software PM, I helped create and launch the eCommerce experience just 6 weeks later on December 15, 2021, including integration with ERP and 3PL systems. However, since the Detect Covid-19 Test™ requires usage of the Detect App™ in order to receive test results, I also needed to achieve approval from Apple App Store and Google Play Store to list our application for public download, which we accomplished successfully.Around the time of receiving EUA, Detect had started development of a new platform for combination testing COVID-19 and Influenza with $22M in funding from BARDA. The goal was to create a test that could be performed faster and cheaper while still using a single low-nasal swab in a connected smart hub that would enable remote results and future test expansion. For this effort, I led application-side UX scoping and product requirement gathering, working closely with the firmware team to drive interaction patterns and data security. This test platform was designed to achieve EUA and 510(k) approval, so all software effort was documented and performed under design control in accordance with IEC 62304 and several other ISO standards. -
Senior Product Manager, ServicesGenworth Mar 2018 - Mar 2021Glen Allen, Virginia, UsGenworth is a Fortune 500 financial services company offering life and long term care insurance products. As the first external hire for Genworth's Services arm, I led technical product strategy and delivery for home care initiatives, including development and release of enterprise-scale tech-enabled services for older adults and their caregivers.My role was instrumental in the development and launch of several pilot programs for adults and caregivers to combat the challenges of aging and Alzheimer's/dementia. These programs enabled us to meet our insureds where they were: not yet able to be approved for a claim, but where help would clearly benefit their quality of life. I worked alongside our nurses and spent time in the field with insureds to detail myriad pain points and synthesize them into a repeatable workflow that would enable Genworth to identify risks semi-remotely.Some pilot programs needed structure and automation to fit into existing processes for CareScout, Genworth's subsidiary, who was responsible for handling claim approval and sourcing potential care partners. I led product development of the core architecture to translate the workflow platforms into clinical automation for RNs and LCSWs so that every insured got the best and most current assistance we could provide. I provided technology leadership and guidance to engineers working on the platform and spent hands-on-keyboard time creating the database and UX/UI that powered several clinical workflows. -

Their solutions help health systems connect patients with the right care providers and reduce leakage. As a platform PM at Kyruus, I handled roadmap and backlogs for transactions and search teams.In Transactions, I led the discovery and implementation of features related to patient registration, provider availability and scheduling, and other revenue cycle transactions in the health IT space (e.g. insurance eligibility, prior authorization, referrals), enabling health systems and their patients to achieve high confidence in their online appointment booking. This included helping Kyruus achieve approval into Epic's Ap Orchard program, enabling direct scheduling integration between Kyruus' ProviderMatch products and clients' Epic instances.My efforts in Search were focused on improving Kyruus' search architecture, which serves ProviderMatch applications as well as clients' custom websites. I drove heavy investment in search analytics, shifting team culture towards performant queries which improved index response time and reduced research and CS ticket volume. -
