Direction of the Department of Land Use Planning, which has as its essential tasks - elaboration, monitoring and modification of regional plans for land use planning, and monitoring the development, modification and review of municipal plans for land use planning.

The overall goal of ROBUST is to a) advance our understanding of the interactions and dependencies between rural, peri-urban and urban areas and b) to identify and promote policies, governance models and practices that foster mutually beneficial relations. Improved governance arrangements and synergies between rural, peri-urban and urban areas will in turn contribute to Europe’s smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, maximising the creation of rural jobs and value-added.

Representative of CCDR-LVT in Cluster DOROTHY. Cluster DOROTHY has the mission to enhance the distribution process of urban goods by reducing the number of vehicles and enhancing environmental standards, the project will help to improve the quality of life in European cities (http://www.clusterdorothy.com). By using the approach of clustering around innovation DOROTHY project aims to develop the potential of innovation and research in urban logistics across the European regions of Tuscany (Italy), Valencia (Spain), Lisbon & Tagus Valley (Portugal) and Oltenia (Romania). Enhancement of the clusters’ research and development (R&D) capacities will contribute to the regional development of smart specialisation strategies for resource-efficient technologies. Areas of intervention range from electro-mobility to automotive components, through information and communications technology (ICT) systems. The cluster will focus on new developments and on the possible creation of specialisation niches.

Executive Coordination of URBAN II Programs Lisbon and Amadora, representing the Managing Authority. The URBAN II program had as essential objectives - implementing innovative strategies in favor of economic and social regeneration of small towns or neighborhoods in crisis in large clumps, and strengthening and exchange knowledge and experiences on urban regeneration and sustainable development in the areas concerned.

Main responsibilities/tasks:• follow the negotiations between Portugal and the EU for the URBAN II Programs;• follow the Third European Support Framework in the Portuguese Regions: Centro, Lisbon and Tagus Valley, and Alentejo.

Participation in the following works - Plans Basin Douro River and the Algarve Streams, Study on Mobility in the Western Railway Line, Study on the Transport Infrastructure in the basin of the Douro River, and Strategic Plan the Municipality of Sintra.

Participation in elaboration of the Almeirim Urban Plan.

Participation in studies for the Characterization of Tertiary Sector in Lisbon (Master Plan of Lisbon), and in the elaboration of Master Plan of Chamusca.
