- Developed a framework for third party vendors to integrate into our system through an app portal allowing for automated authentication for web service usage, while maintaining user-centric control over data access. Worked with third parties to encourage and assist in the development leading to higher participation in the app portal.- Created a single sign-on environment using the OAuth 2.0 specification. - As a product owner and architect, evaluated and solidified a strategy for the company's maintenance offering including developing new features, integrated existing features, and created a cohesive strategy, design, and feature set.- Led complete UI/UX overhaul of existing iOS and Android apps, including architecting client and server side of data communication.- Was a key member of the strategy team and led the development of an award-winning iOS app.- Developed architecture for API layer of flagship product including authentication, authorization, and logging. Architecture allows for rapid development of web services and supports both XML and JSON, while maintaining principles of security and extensibility.

Working in the lab, I am currently researching the mechanisms of consciousness. The initial research began by looking at gap junctions (Connexin 36) and their possible role is the mechanisms of anesthetics, a controlled impairment of consciousness. This led me to propose a new field involving KO mice that were genetically altered to not have the gene that encodes for Cx-36. This research is still going on.
