PSD Team Leader on the EUPOL contract in Afghanistan. Once at location we change to RST and PPO for the Clients. I am also the team medic and responsible for administrating medication or treatment to the client or CP team.As a Team Leader my responsibilities are to:- Brief my team the night before on the following days tasks, confirming which routes we will be taking and identifying secondary routes if there is a problem.- Attend the operations briefs held daily- Ensure that arrival times on tasks are sufficiently early to attend to any last minute delays or briefings- Ensure that the watch keeper is kept informed at all times of all vehicle movements- Be in possession of up to date code sheets and ensure that any loss of these sheets is reported to the watch keeper without delay- Maintain a professional operational relationship with the clients- Conduct a daily check of weapons systems and ammunition issued and ensure that all weapons systems are properly secured at all times.- Safeguard all issued equipment in accordance with SOP’s and ensure that any damages or deficiencies are brought to the attention of the chain of commandClients include high-ranking Military Officers and Diplomats from around the world.

Working on the repatriation flights as a dual badged Detainee Custody Officer (DCO)/Team Medic (FPOS). My role is to collect the detainees from the detention centre or prison, transport them to the airport, and then fly with them back to their home country. When required I would escort them within their country to the necessary authorities. My role within Armatus Risk has taken me to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Africa and other hostile countries. As a flight medic I am solely responsible for taking care of the detainee, weather this be administrating medication or treatment to any of their injuries.Responsibilities • Team Medic - responsible for taking care of the detainees and the DCO’s • Searching each detainee when entering our custody • Escorting the detainees to the coach and then onto the flight• Control and Restraint (C & R) trained to bring a violent or refractory detainees under control
