The team is experienced in a wide variety of works from chiller servicing through to installation of VRV refrigeration systems. Working full time developing a new light weight lift technology I reported to the Managing director and was responsible for the project management of processes, efficiency improvements and resolution of technical issues, which included tasks as follows:• Process analysis, improvement and documentation• Improvement and analysis of efficiency. Targeting speed, cycle life and noise• Project management of the mechanical and electrical testing of R&D prototypes • Liaise with overseas suppliers and manufactures regarding technical issues• Quality control and quality assurance, which included managing goods inwards inspection• Mentoring junior engineers on Quality Assurance (QA) Processes• Development of mathematical models for theoretical and FMEA analysis• Planning, development and maintenance of automated bays and PLCs• Development of procedures and jigs to aid overseas production • Marketing and sales supportACHIEVEMENTS: • Winner of an award for early fault detection for a critical flaw in the machine design. Methodical testing processes were established to test a variety of operational scenarios and as a result we were able to identify a particular scenario were the machine could malfunction • Led the Multi-variable analysis study of the drive train in the LiftPod product family, as a result we able to determine the best configuration of gear materials, alignment, surface finished and lubrication. Hence, increasing the overall efficiency of the machines by more than 30% • Closely worked with Johnson Electric’s team and the University of New South Wales in the research and development of a new DC motor to power the LiftPod. By introducing state of the art materials, we created a brand new driving motor producing 40% longer operational lifetime• Represented JLG at the CONEXPO-08 international convention in Las Vegas (largest construction convention in the world) for the official launch of the LiftPod in the USA
