This increased the speed of the application by a large amount. * Helped implement Redis to use for caching certain parts of the application, resulting in dramatic speed increases * Reduced code complexity with refactors in both Ember and Rails applications, leading to higher productivity, higher code quality, and increase to test coverage of all code.

* Produced official release builds of Energy Center (the flagship product of Viridity). Created shell scripts to automate a very manual process of building a new official release. Automated tasks included: building a release with specific repository revisions, creating installers, and informing QA of release availability. Also created shell scripts to automate “end-game” release tasks such as: Documentation, Tagging specific repositories with official release information, backing up working copies, and backing up installers. * Developed automated install and upgrade testing on the EnergyCenter product using Java. Ensured installs and upgrades to archive, and trunk versions met QA standards on all supported platforms including: Red Hat, SUSE, and Windows. Automated using a test instance of Hudson. Ran nightly after every successful nightly trunk build. * Supported multiple teams in a dynamic build environment including: Subversion, Hudson (for build automation), Ant, and BitRock (to create installers). Managed checkins, branches, and official release and patch builds. Also automated nightly/daily builds, official releases for multiple products, and multiple QA efforts. Also developed SVN Hooks to manage checkins properly through software.

* Worked as a part of the QA Engineering team at Virtual Iron Software. Managed regression, and installation automated testing. This automated testing ran every night and installed 40 guest operating system distributions 10 times every night. * Also had manual testing responsibilities, using the VI-Center to test the products user interface. Testing was performed using both Linux and Windows environments.
