The Special Thanks And Recognition (STAR) award is CPP’s formal recognition scheme for the UK business which covers all UK-employees. We use STAR awards to help embed employee recognition into our culture and to promote a sense of community by providing formal opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments of our biggest asset, OUR PEOPLE!

  CPP’s philosophy starts with Customer, People and Performance, therefore we invite nominations for employees that have consistently demonstrated excellence and made an exceptional contribution to the business.Each month we invite our people to nominate one of their colleagues for achievements, nominations can be cross-functional and can be peer-to-peer and/or manager recommendations. The nominations have to fit under one of three categories:Recognising Customer for: • Bringing Treating Customers Fairly in a way that positively impacted our customers• Being a true specialist and advising or sharing knowledge that helps internal or external customers in a really positive way • Promoting ideas that significantly enhance the customer experience • Excellent customer service comments • Going above and beyond for a customer and exceeding their expectation Recognising People for: • Inspiring people to be the best they can be • Role-modelling our leadership behaviours day in day out • Building excellent internal and/or external relationships which has positively impacted the business • Going above and beyond the call of duty to support fellow colleagues Recognising Performance for: • Working cross-functionally to drive innovation that has had positive and impactful results • Great ideas and methods of working that improve the performance of the team/department/company • Implementation of new ideas in terms of process, products and/or distributions channels • A team/individual that has successfully completed a qualification and/or a projectEach month we invite the previous month’s winners to help judge the STAR nominations. They work with our standing judging panel to decide the months’ winners. The standing panel has representation from across the business including our Operations, HR, IT, Finance and the Employee Communications Forum.Our winners gain public acknowledgement of their contribution to the business and other ancillary benefits.
