As a Network/System Administrator, I am responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting computer network systems (workstations and servers). I effectively maintain inventory of Ballard equipment and software. I research on possible software and hardware innovations as needed and upgrade network hardware and software components as required.I efficiently implement and monitor the use of network resources, design, specify, and document system configurations according to user needs. I hold credit for providing technical assistance to users as needed and document in ticket system. I respond to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources on the network and have developed training materials as needed for software/hardware implementations. I proficiently perform and verify system backups and complete other duties as assigned. My biggest challenge in the organization was training of employees due to the time constraints and 5 regional offices. We train employees to recognize phishing attempts, bogus emails, IT processes, phone system training, etc. I overcame this constraint by setting a training schedule, 1 training per quarter, which is recorded and posted on the company intranet for people to watch at their convenience. These training videos are also included in new hire documentation.

I was responsible for the company’s network and infrastructure and managed a team of 3 Network and Systems Administrators, and 5 Help Desk Specialists. The core of my job was to manage technology operations and evaluate according to established goals, instituting IT policies, and manage relationships with vendors. I was also responsible for all IT related purchases throughout the company and brands.I am responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of information systems that support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. I have implemented the enterprise architecture and the development and maintenance of the organization’s computing/IT environment. I had very extensive experience in migrating to Office365 through my position with Curves and Jenny Craig. Within the first 4-months, I had successfully diverted all corporate employees to Microsoft Office 365 with zero downtime. The migration was completed within a month with very little downtime. I did all of the Office 365 migrations myself without any assistance because no one on the team had any experience with Office 365, or e-mail systems in general.
