- Developed and implemented Microsoft Office-based systems to ensure capture of perioperative data from multiple electronic health record (EHR) platforms for bariatric surgery patients. - Compiled and organized 3 years (200+ patients) of bariatric perioperative data for presentation and auditing, an integral component in WBAMC’s accreditation and recognition by the American College of Surgeons as the first Metabolic Surgery Center of Excellence across the entire Department of Defense.- Abstracted perioperative data and entered into the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Project (MBSAQIP) national database.

- Facilitated the discharge of over 4,000 post-operative patients, over nine surgical services, from a 125-bed Level III Trauma Center, increasing pre-noon discharges by 100%, allowing for increases in available bed space, Operating Room productivity, and hospital revenue. - Bridged communication gaps between the multidisciplinary team (staff surgeons, GME residents, nurses, social workers, and ancillary services), ensuring the discharge of all post-operative patients with appropriate post-discharge placement, durable medical equipment, resources, and services.- Spearheaded discharge-related process improvement specifically with the Department of General Surgery, to include coordination of discharge education and discharge medications, in order to simultaneously decrease time spent by GME residents in administrative discharge tasks, and increase resident participation in OR, etc. - Implemented multidisciplinary communication and tracking tools as a performance improvement project, to support the Nurse Methods Analyst in initiatives to track and increase MS-DRG-appropriate lengths of stay, simultaneously decreasing inpatient lengths of stay and increasing efficiency of bed usage for a 24-bed Surgical Unit.

- Sole Registered Nurse assigned to provide medical care, and track/maintain the medical readiness of the largest Brigade Combat Team in the US Army, with 5000+ personnel.- Executed several public health campaigns in conjunction with local medical facilities to ensure the health of personnel prior to deployment overseas, as well as upon their return back to the United States.- Conducted and supervised triage in an outpatient/urgent care clinic setting, assisting and training up to 20 EMT-Bs in basic triage principles, as well as coordinating care with several Physician Assistants and Physicians to provide timely care to all Soldiers in our empanelment.***Operation Atlantic Resolve/Combined Resolve II/III)***- Supported regional alignment to Europe/NATO through rapid overseas deployment (<7 day notice) to the European/Baltic area of operations to conduct medical asset evaluation. Coordinated care of U.S. personnel with local national healthcare systems.- Tracked and managed pharmaceutical distribution/activity among U.S. Forces tasked to Operation Atlantic Resolve (Germany-Poland-Latvia-Lithuania-Estonia).- Coordinated U.S. medical evacuations from a multinational operation, tracking movement and medical care being delivered within the German healthcare infrastructure. - Conducted day-to-day operations as Triage/Quick-Care Officer for over 1,200 personnel across four foreign militaries, in absence of a Physician or Physician Assistant. Performed rapid, specialized evaluation and care in support of both intelligence-gathering and direct-action activities.

- Sole Registered Nurse assigned to provide medical care, and track/maintain the medical readiness of a Combined Arms Brigade Combat Team with 4,000+ personnel. - Executed several public health campaigns in conjunction with local medical facilities to ensure the health of personnel prior to deployment overseas, as well as upon their return back to the United States.***Deployed in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan)***- Supervisor of all pharmaceutical activity across 7 medical facilities (6 US and 1 Afghan), including over $400,000 in controlled substances. - Locally assigned to a Role II (Pre-Hospital) Aid Station, comparable to a freestanding ER, as the only RN among six medically-trained Officers, responsible for the day-to-day medical operations and training of 40 medical personnel (EMT-B, etc). Supervised daily pharmacy operations, outpatient triage, and medication administration during trauma/mass casualty intake. - Advised in the acquisition of assets and personnel to develop the first Forward Surgical Team of the Afghanistan National Army, capable of performing emergent, urgent, and routine outpatient care, as well as receiving combat-trauma casualties, expediting the time from injury to life-saving surgical intervention, before transport to more definitive levels of care.- Trained, supervised, and operated alongside eight Afghanistan Special Operations Medics in rendering care to trauma casualties at the point of injury, coordinating medical evacuation, and continuing care on both wheeled and airborne evacuation platforms. Performed rapid, specialized evaluation and care in support of both intelligence-gathering and direct-action activities generating multiple traumatic casualties over a 10-month period of operations.

- Staff Nurse assigned to a 35-bed Surgery Ward in a Level III trauma Army Medical Center. Delivered direct patient care to a post-operative patient population, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of LVNs, EMT-Bs, staff surgeons, surgical residents, social workers, and ancillary staff. - Performed duties as Charge Nurse, as well as preceptor for new graduate nurses. - Junior coordinator for the Department of Nursing Clinical Orientation Program; ensured the competency of new nursing staff prior to working in assigned units. - Instructor for 1,500+ hospital staff in support of The Joint Commission accreditation process.
