Finance• Applied the Black-Scholes model to value employee stock options grants in Excel and designed VBA macros to allow users to toggle numerous input assumptions.• Collaborated with team to develop an economic profits model for an international joint venture in the energy industry. Results were central to saving client hundreds of millions of dollars in legal settlement.• Led training session on financial derivatives with a focus on valuation. Trained other analysts on accounting concepts related to securitization.Data Analysis• Ran linear regressions, using Stata, of a company’s stock returns on relevant market and industry indices to determine the materiality of specific disclosures. • Analyzed the performance of a credit card company’s on- and off-balance sheet receivables. Summarized relevant findings in charts and tables that were presented in trial. • Using SAS and Excel, computed the conditional probability a bank would fail given a tier 1 capital ratio.Communication• Helped prepare an expert witness for deposition by describing nuances in data and the take-away message behind analyses. Presented methodology and implications of analyses to client law firms.• Drafted line of questioning for the cross examination of an opposing expert witness.
