A part of a team that runs the Neighborhood Energy Saver Program in Residential Markets that assists income eligible households in achieving more efficient means by educating and installing measures that can help bring their bills down. Also work with weatherization agencies and other organizations to deliver dollars to assist weatherization services as well as utilizing our Helping Home Fund to fill gaps to help our customers become more comfortable and manage their energy bill.Worked to understand and build how smart thermostats and smart home technologies can be utilized to help customers become more energy efficient in their homes.

- Helped develop concepts, text and images for major exhibit renovations at the Harris Visitor’s Center.- Analyzed and troubleshoot computer-based interactive exhibits.- Planned and conducted educational programs to explain nuclear power to the public (elementary through adult ages).- Supported site-wide communications, including HNP News, plant tours, and on-site and off-site events. - Provided general support to Corporate Communications for nuclear and fossil generation.This opportunity opened the door to further understand nuclear power and the energy industry. It allowed me to build my presentation skills and develop the tools necessary to accomplish our goals. The result was a completely renovated visitor center that explains electricity from the power plant to the meter. I was given the opportunity to learn from various aspects of generation, including operations, transmission, radiation protection and history of the construction of Harris to help facilitate the new exhibits.

As an intern, my role was to support communications on-site by handling various responsibilities such as educating the public on nuclear power and working on the upkeep of exhibits within the visitors center. At the conclusion of the internship I provided feedback for improvements with various programs and exhibits.This opportunity allowed me to establish a confidence with talking to the public that ranged from elementary school groups to trade associations. It also allowed to me understand the fundamentals of commercial nuclear power and to be able to present it in way that groups could learn and ask questions.

My job as president of the Engineers' Council was to oversee and maintain the organization's role in the College of Engineering and it's student body. During this time we held two Engineering Career Fairs, which brought in 2,000 students and around 175 companies each time; Co-sponsored Engineers' Week and started a Presidents' Roundtable, which consisted of all of the engineering organization's presidents. We also appropriated funds to other organizations.

Trained employees on different aspects of distribution, fabricated labels for various parts and supported supervisors with daily activities while finishing up my last semester of high school and beginning my college career.
