I was part of the team that developed the agent-facing Personal Property entry system. Most development was done using Java and COBOL utilizing the Struts 1 framework.I also worked towards establishing best practices and training material for new-hires. Additionally, I served as a Java mentor and helped train new associates in enterprise Java. I worked on several department-initiatives that involved moving some of our logic from COBOL to Java and introducing the Spring framework to allow for IoC dependency injection for unit testing. As the web leg lead I was required to submit monthly reports on performance as well as work with management to implement new policies to improve code quality.

I served as a recitation instructor for the spring 2014 semester. I had responsibilities such as grading and answering emails along with running a 50 minute lesson every week. I was required to assess areas in which students were struggling in an attempt to strengthen those areas.I also served as a primary algebra 1 instructor. This required me to plan lessons and conduct office hours. I was the first contact point for any student issues that may arise. This job required me to exercise excellent time management skills as there is a limited time to present new material. In addition to teaching, I was required to also balance my own course load with teaching.

I worked in a hybrid location which required me to be knowledgeable in both selling and repairing cell phones. I was instructed to always be customer oriented, every device and plan that was sold was only done so after assessing the customer's needs. I had to think quickly on my feet and serve as an expert on the devices and plans being offered. Each sale also came with the "Ready Now" service which required me to train the customer on their new device and field any questions they may have.On the repair side, I was required to both repair devices and explain the repair process to the customer in simple terms. I was responsible for making sure that the device was functioning correctly and diagnose any other issues that may exist.

My responsibilities included selling and stocking inventory, accepting deliveries and orders, balancing the cash drawer, preparing deposits, and closing the store. I worked primarily unsupervised and had to manage my time so that everything was done by the end of the night.

My primary responsibility was to design and implement web-based solutions. This ranged from modifications to our x-cart service and creating new websites for our future projects. I also performed general office duties such as making copies, answering phones, and preparing deliveries. I was also responsible for making sure that our networking equipment was working correctly and performing basic server maintenance.
