Haven Homes, Inc. was an assisted living facility that oversaw the care for 30 clients. My time with the organization was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances. In my short time I accomplished many things and brought a level of respect to the accounting office by taking the time to work with employees with payroll discrepancies and and resolved their issues in a timely manner. Coded the excel spreadsheet to simplify the process, while ensuring its accuracy. Added operational cost fields for the Fleet Manager, so he can make informed decisions before removing a vehicle from rotation.-Assisted the Accounting Manager with contacting past due customers and reduced the company's potential for bad debt write offs. If the customer challenged the amount owed, I would provide the customer with a detailed payment history.

Have you ever been watching the news or reading the newspaper and read "a health study has found...." that was more than likely the study that I was working on. Now my job title was very misleading to what my actual job was, I would say the I was really the "Quality Control Specialist". My job was to go out and verify that the interviewers were actually making contact with said households and to verify that data wasn't falsified; I would contact households either by the phone or in person and verify the information that they provided to the interviewers. In addition to this I would meet with the interviewers twice a week to gather consent forms and to verify that all forms were there and signed by the participants that were selected to go through the interviews and medical testing; upon receiving these forms I would notate on the participant folder that the forms were complete and would move on to filing all these forms, if a form was missing either the interviewer or myself would go to the household and obtain the missing permission form(s). I also provided the Study Manager with bi-weekly reports on where we stand with our projected numbers

San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua

For a three month period I took an opportunity to go to Nicaragua to do some website and marketing work for a B&B based out of San Juan del Sur, that didn't pan out as expected so I switched gears and found a job bartending at a resort. It was a great experience and with the great hours I was able to catch the surf any day that I liked. I met a ton of great people and enjoyed a much needed vacation while I was "between" jobs.
