  When Dora Lee’s daughter came to her in high school with a special request to go to the British Isles, an $8,000 trip, she also came up with a great idea on how to help with the costs. She said, “I know what I can do, I can sell cakes, cupcakes, muffins and coffee cakes and get enough orders to pay for the trip then I’ll be on my way to the British Isles”. Dora Lee and her daughter put their heads together and came up with plenty of ideas on how to sell the cakes, from individual orders to coordinating fundraising events which all aided in the quest to generate enough sales to pay for the cost of the trip and before you knew it away to the British Isles her daughter went!
