• Manage the successful day-to-day operations of the Furniture Administration and previous AutoCAD Departments; including crisis management, documentation management, vendor management, information coordination, process improvements, inquiries and meetings• Monitor purchase orders for acknowledgements, shipping dates and issues and escalate as needed• Develop, implement, track and evaluate targeted internal programs to promote improvements in freight programs, vendor deficiencies, input turn-around times and consistency• Research, design, proofread, write content and create process documentation and workflow that increase the efficiency of the department and decrease inconsistency of output• Participate on projects in various capacities with all levels of employees and management to further the corporate mission, vision and values• Monitor the consignment and warranty programs to ensure they meet or exceed current standards and implement process improvements• Manage the truckload chair program to ensure sufficient stock in 5 distribution warehouses to eliminate a stock out position and to avoid access inventory• Perform public relations role and foster positive relationships by liaising with other departments and senior managers to gain buy-in for department goals and objectives• Supervise and provide guidance to Furniture Administration and previous AutoCAD staff; interview job candidates and hire as require; conduct orientation for new staff and provide training; evaluate performance, create performance objectives and provide feedback • Lead internal employee events which have included the Annual Manager’s Christmas potluck and the annual Purolator Food Bank drive• Volunteer and support various internal fun activities and customer appreciate events that are supported by the organization
