ASD STEM SOLUTIONS AUSTRALIA was founded due to the increasing need for bespoke delivery options to various cohorts of teenagers with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in STEM proficiency, being the master of their future and not prescribed to a label. I have a passion for creating an environment suited to individualized, skills-based learning, fostering development and encouraging innovation, while also providing a hub for accessing additional resources, peer support, recovery, and mentoring services. Prior to the commencement of ASD STEM SOLUTIONS AUST ORG, I have been involved in roles ranging from director at Andersen Analytics after several years reporting to C,B level executives for the Water Corporation of Western Australia as well as reporting directly to Ministers, State Treasury and Government departments. With over a decade working in the private sector for various ASX100 companies and SMEs, I have a rather eclectic skill set with foundations in Economics, Finance, Pricing, Consulting, Project Management, Business development, Data Analytics/Modelling, Compliance, Cyber security / Network IT, mental health studies and reporting. Recently, my pusuits have focused more on trying to 'break the sterotype / lables' being applied to the youth of today and create both the tools and environment where I spearheaded the design and implementation of various STEM programs, workshops, learning materials to create a positive environment to engage diverse and underrepresented students. I have extensive experience in (living with as well as) working with teens with ASD and other special needs, as well as providing recovery and wellness support. I believe in the power of STEM education to empower and inspire young people to pursue their dreams, creativity and assist to overcome both stigma and social conditioning challenges. I believe in innovation, challenging the status quo, life long learning, and promote greater collaboration, inclusion, and integration.
