Managed the Advice Delivery Team which provided quality comprehensive and ongoing financial advice to fund members. The role involved the day to day delivery of advice as well as being the designated Risk Manager for the Business Unit. That component of the role was to ensure that legislative and regulatory changes were known, understood and embedded into operational risk procedures across the division & to also demonstrate the competencies consistent with what is required under an Australian Financial Services Licence. The business unit was closed following a QSuper Board of Trustees decision in July 2020.

Responsible for the development and management of Partnerships with key stakeholders which provided financial advice referral opportunities to Financial Advisers across the Infocus Group.Worked closely with internal Business Services Teams to design and deliver innovative solutions using CRM and electronic Direct Marketing tools to improve business development.Designed, Implemented and Managed electronic Direct Marketing campaigns through collaboration with external partners.Identified, developed and fostered additional referral partnership opportunities.

Responsible for the management for the National Salaried Financial Adviser network across Infocus Referral Partnerships

Role responsibilities included leading, managing, supporting and developing the CBA Sunshine Coast Financial Planning team based between Caloundra and Hervey Bay in QLD which advised the CBA Retail, Premier and Business Banking customers.

During time in role, I managed the Queensland Team of Specialist Advisers in the Commonwealth Financial Planning Relationship Managed Channel (RMC). The RMC Team provided advice to CBA Business & Premier Banking clients on how to create and protect the wealth of their families and their businesses.Spending time with clients to understand their needs, goals and lifestyle aspirations, thereafter devising the most appropriate strategy and delivering the best solutions in the form of Quality Advice.Succession Planning advice was also provided to business clients to ensure that they have a strategy for those unexpected events.

Led a team of 16 people in Queensland which included Business Financial Planners, Operations and Advice Support staff in areas of Advice delivery and Advice Quality in a changing regulatory environment;Role included engagement with General Managers and Relationship Executives in the Corporate, Agribusiness and Business Banking Teams across all business centres in Qld;

Whilst in this role I specialised in working with small to large business owners, busy professionals and affluent retirees who wanted to build and protect their wealth, manage their tax effectively, invest for the future and leave a legacy for their beneficiaries.I also worked closely with employers that offered company sponsored Corporate Benefit plans to their employees of their organisations as a means of maximising the value and effectiveness of this very important benefit.
