I left school in 1990 and did my apprenticeship at Printoff Graphic Arts in NelsonI worked there for 4 years, achieved my City and Guilds 524 in Graphic Communications on my college course and spent the remaining 4 days a week in Repro making films& plates, I also spent some time on the Macs drawing logos and maps.I left in 1994 and went to Carrprint in Barnoldswick to work in their Digital Repro DepartmentI trained to run a drum scanner, did a lot of image retouching and manipulation, assembly, impositions, artwork from first concept to final film on an A0 imagestter and making plates.I returned to Printoff in 1996 when they installed digital repro, the opportunity arose to run a department of my own so I returned and applied what I had learnt to their operation and new installationIn 1998 I moved onto Estimating and Account Management, eventually building up some accounts of my own and doing a variety of roles progressing to Commercial Manager then Operations Manager with a key role in sales and production over the course of the last 2 decades.In 2018 Printoff shut down their litho operation so the opportunity arose to take over and expand the business my wife started a few years before selling promotional items. I have expanded the business and added onto it the other aspects like print, artwork, design.So here I am!
