After architecting Immutable Checkout and leading the team to the successful delivery of the product on Immutable zkEVM, I have stepped into a new role within Immutable as Staff Developer Relations Engineer. In this role my primary focus is to architect and deliver the developer resources our partners need to integrate smoothly with our platform. To achieve this I am actively working across multiple departments with Solutions Architects, Platform Engineers and Product Managers to improve our documentation, guides, tutorials and tools.Additionally I am actively mentoring junior engineers, improving our teams sprint processes and spearheading company wide improvements to our content and software delivery strategies.

Taxoshi is a cryptocurrency tax calculator that streamlines the process of figuring our your tax obligations into a simple and quick wizard process at a fraction of the cost of using an accountant. As the founder and technical lead I have designed and built the entire platform from the ground up including;- Public facing Wordpress website- Responsive front end of the calculation application built in Angular- Web back end built using Express & MongoDB- Data processing and calculation algorithms written in Typescript built on Serverless Lambda AWS- Large data storage using S3 and DynamoDB on AWS- Blockchain API integrations- Decompiling smart contracts and interpreting earnings from on chain transactions- Cryptocurrency and credit card payments- Fully automated test suiteI designed and implemented Taxoshi's operational procedures including our agile sprint methodology, coding best practices, deployment strategy and everything in between.

Encrypt S is primarily a blockchain research and development lab. Our mission is to simplify blockchain technology and make both its business and social benefits available to all industries.Encrypt S has played an instrumental role in the development of Navcoin. Amongst other achievements, Encrypt S designed and built Navcoin's original private transaction system, it's on chain governance and funding system, the NavPay mobile wallet and Encrypt S is the biggest contributor to Navcoin's open source eco-system.Encrypt S has also worked on various projects in and out of the blockchain space including;- Technical due diligence on ICO proposals for venture capital firms- A mobile app for financial advisors that tracks and categorizes a clients spending in real time- A Project planning, budgeting and management web application for the civil engineering industryI grew Encrypt S from my sole contracting business to a fully fledged blockchain lab with 12 employees including developers, designers, content creators and digital marketers. I established our operational procedures including our agile sprint methodology, coding best practices, deployment strategy and everything in between. I mentored all of our employees to help them perform at a high level and shared my extensive programming and blockchain knowledge to help them grow in this fast evolving space.

I was contracted by MacVAD to lead a team of 4 in building a web application for their intranet that manages product ordering, logistics, fulfilment and overall task management of their product sourcing capabilities. The web application was built using NodeJS and React. As well as contributing to building the React application I was also responsible for running the agile process and ensuring product delivery.

I was contracted by Saatchi & Saatchi to lead a team of 6 and deliver on their successful pitch to rebuild sorted.org.nz for the Commission for Financial Capability. The front end of the site was built using Angular JS and the back end was built using SilverStripe. As well as architecting the site, I formalised and managed the teams processes around the sprint life cycle, unit testing, code reviews and continuous deployments.

I was contracted by Spark Ventures to lead a team of 10 working to rebuild the Bigpipe website. Alongside my responsibilities as a developer I constructed a set of best practices and programming standards for our team to use. My teams running process set a great example within Spark Ventures and instigated a wider conversation in the business about code standards, best practices, peer reviews and the other processes. Many teams adopted our workflow as a result.

At Colenso my role was primarily that of Senior PHP Developer working with the Zend Framework. As front end technology advanced my focus started shifting towards building innovative web sites through creative use of technology. My role lead me to experiment with many (then) new technologies like Dart, Polymer, Angular, Zend Framework 2, Firebase, AWS, SCSS and NodeJS. In a broader sense I was involved in project management, database architecture, project scoping and client communications.While working at Colenso many of the projects I was involved in drew international recognition including;Trial By Timeline (Amnesty International)- Facebook Studio 2014 Blue.- Cannes 2013 Gold Lion, Bronze Lion. - D & AD 2014 Yellow Pencil.The Smart Phoneline (Samsung)- Facebook Studio 2014: Silver. - Cannes 2014: Bronze Lion - Digital. - Axis 2014: Grand Prix, 2 Golds and 1 Silver.

Working as a web developer at Aim Proximity was my first full time role after graduating from Media Design School. It was a great starter position for me as the work covered a broad spectrum of languages and projects. I built HTML emails, ad banners in Flash, product websites, facebook applications, games, competitions and more. I soaked it all up and built the base for me to continue moving forward.
