From an early age I took a keen interest in animal health and husbandry, working at a local rescue centre. I went on to pursue veterinary: getting a job as a nurse, completing the relevant qualifications and then beginning at Bristol University. I started the Pre-vet course in 2010 and completed the year to then move onto the veterinary course.I completed each year and in 2015 entered my final year. It was at this point I had a major medical incident which resulted in me having to drop out. Determined to finish my degree, 2 years after recovering, I returned agreeing to retake the clinical years (3,4).I’ve always enjoyed being active, always on the go. I was a keen scout and lead: climbing, abseiling and caving groups at a local international scout camp. I also completed my bronze, silver and part of my gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.I am someone always wanting to find a practical solution to, sometimes impractical problems. I like to contribute to the veterinary comminuting, getting involved and assisting on social media. I have always tried my best to help others and often I am conscientious to the point of putting myself out for the sake of others.
