Craig is the Global Chief Investment Officer at Willis Towers Watson (WTW). In this role Craig is ultimately responsible for all aspects of WTW's investment philosophy and process, including the research and portfolio management teams. Craig ensures there is a single investment philosophy and approach for all clients regardless of location or type of engagement with WTW. The Manager Research team is responsible for researching investment managers globally covering all asset classes (Equities, Bonds, Hedge Funds and Private Markets) across bulk beta, smart beta, liquid alpha and illiquid alpha strategies.The Asset Research team is responsible for all of Willis Towers Watson's dynamic asset allocation views through the use of proprietary valuation models. In addition it is responsible for working with Manager Research to create new smart beta ideas.The Thinking Ahead Group is responsible for challenging status quo in the investment industry and coming up with solutions to change the investment industry for the better. It has a very long-term outlook and has historically been responsible for pioneering a number of initiatives that now appear to be mainstream - for example the smart beta concept, long-term mandates, pension fund governance, complexity, extreme risks, risk budgeting and diversity. In addition, Craig is a member of the Global Steering Group, a ten-person group responsible for managing WTW's global investment practice. Prior to the CIO role Craig spent three years as Head of Investment Research and 15 years leading the Manager Research team at WTW. Craig joined WTW in 1994. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
