Responsible for the management of the ongoing contractual relationship with suppliers and funders including DHBs, MoH, ACC, Air Ambulance operators. This role included leading and participating in negotiations for key contracts to ensure that they delivered to the organisations needs. Also responsible for the development of processes to ensure that the contract management function operates efficiently and effectively and working with key stakeholders within the organisation to ensure that our contractual obligations are met in accordance with customer requirements.Achievements:• Supported the doubling of revenue of patient transfer services over an eight year period by successfully renegotiating contracts to increase rates during a time of significant volume growth.• Formalised and enhanced the relationship between St John and the New Zealand Fire Service as part of the team that negotiated a new Memorandum of Understanding between the organisations.• Improved customer satisfaction while increasing efficiency in service delivery for inter hospital transfer services by working with the customer to redesign the service delivery model.• Mitigated significant revenue leakage through facilitating the introduction of an auditing process that identified invoicing errors for around 25% of transactions and lead to process improvements to prevent the recurrence of those errors.• Gained increased government funding through producing and contributing to multiple business cases for specific projects and targeted increases in resources.
