• Compose yearly sales, payroll, & purchase budgets to meet/exceed desired profitability for each department• Conduct interviews and hire sales associates for each department• Train sales staff on all departmental procedures such as sales, customer service, product information, andcompany policies• Develop staff schedule to meet the needs of the store, department, and customers• Develop and coordinate cross merchandising opportunities within other departments• Coordinate with marketing department to assist in developing and implementation of marketing plans• Establish short term and long term goals for each department• Determine weekly and monthly needs of each department and place orders for product accordingly to achievesales goals• Develop maintenance schedule for each department to keep a fresh, clean, and inviting atmosphere for thecustomer• Provide leadership and direction that ensures staff is adhering to company standards• Design & layout each department sales floor and yard
