As a father, manager, and coach, I am a hard working, self-motivated individual who is eager to jump in and make things happen. Throughout my career I have had a strong track record with dynamic results in a number of key areas such as, Member Growth and Retention, Revenue Growth, and Activities and Events; Bidding/Hosting local, sectional, and national championships. As a leader my greatest strength is the ability to turn new and/or struggling businesses into thriving operations that everyone wants to be a part of. In fact, in 2019 my team and I won the prestigious 'USTA Southwest Section Organization of the Year Award', plus was a nominee for USTA National Organization of the year.I have had experience in competing and/or overseeing programs in the following sports: Tennis, Pickleball, Platform Tennis (Paddle), Spanish (Padel), Racquetball, Squash, Fitness, Aquatics, Golf and more.Furthermore, I have additional management and expertise in the following areas: p&l, budgeting, cap-ex, HR, payroll, marketing, social media, membership, food and beverage, club construction, bubble installation and take down and more. I have managed both corporate owned and privately held clubs for profit and nonprofit.I'm honored to hold memberships with the USTA, USPTA, PTR, PPR, APTA, USAPA, IPTPA, & The Director's Club, while also serving on various boards and committees for the tennis and pickleball industry.As a Tennis Player I was a top 100 nationally ranked junior tennis player that went on to play Division 1 Collegiate Tennis. In my 50's I've continued to compete/captain teams at National Championships; Texas National 5.5 Team & Texas 40's National Open Team, the 2016 Midwest 40's Team & 2017 Eastern Team.As a professional coach, I am known as an elite technical coach, and one of the most sought after clinicians. Throughout my career I've been privileged to help 40+ kids go on to play college tennis and beyond, with 1 student selected to the USTA National Player Development. My Tennis Coaching Certifications are: USPTA Elite and PTR Professional with Special Certifications in: 10u, 11-17, Adult Development, USPTA Competitive Development. In 2004 I was named as Houston Professional Tennis Association Pro of the Year and Community Champion.As a Pickleball Professional I'm Certified with PPR & IPTPA, plus I am competing at the 5.0 & Sr. Pro Tour levels winning medals and prize money, finishing 2023 as #17 Ranked APP Sr. Pro Singles Player.Thank you for taking the time to review my profile.
