Craig Bowyer is a graduate of Macquarie University (Australia) and INSEAD (France).Craig joined Emergent Cold Pty Ltd on the 30th of March 2020 as VP Operations Asia Pacific as part of the extended executive team driving best practice people and food safety culture across the business and leading change in providing safer food to the entire Asia Pacific region for the communities.Previous to this, Craig established Global Cold Consulting Pty Ltd in January 2018 to focus on providing expert management services to the perishable supply chain industry, especially in the Asia Pacific region.Craig has spent the past ten years in China establishing and expanding one of China's leading cold chain warehousing and ancillary support networks, whilst also engaged in other Asian market segments.Craig has extensive experience in the perishable supply chain industry, having commenced with Swire Australia 40 years ago.Craig has worked in a number of locations throughout ASEAN, across a broad range of perishable supply chain Industry sectors. These industry sectors include temperature controlled food supplied to the QSR, FMcG, fresh produce industry companiesCraig has held senior management positions with Swire Cold Storage in General Management, transport operations, engineering, distribution centre management, marketing, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental management.His role prior to locating to China in 2007 was General Manager of The retail contracts division within Swire Cold Storage. This role involved distribution of frozen, chilled and temperature sensitive food to over 500 supermarkets across Australia. From 2007, Craig has been based in Mainland China establishing and operating Swire’s first international standard cold storage facility in Guangzhou. In 2012, Craig transferred to Shanghai as part of the senior management team to establish a network of cold supply chain services across China.Craig is also the Non Executive Chairmain of food marketing company Australia House based in Australia, Hong Kong and mainland China.Craig is also a past Director of Finlays Cold Storage Sri Lanka, past Chairman of the Refrigerated Warehousing and Transport Association (RWTA Australia), South Australian Division, past Director of Foodbank Australia
