This position was created out of necessity for the State of Oklahoma's legislated consolidation initiative. This amazing and rewarding position allows the State to effectively organize resources in a more efficient and meaningful way. While there is solid momentum in our modernization efforts, there is significant work left to do. In this role, my teams and I are poised to develop phenomenal user experiences, lower the State's operating costs where possible, create consistent application UI's while heavily leveraging our web technology skillets. This allows us to build first-class unified web experiences regardless of platform.We're a Microsoft shop with .NET and Xamarin as our tools of choice, but the Great State of Oklahoma also has significant infrastructure investments in Open-Source technologies. As an Enterprise Systems manager for the State of Oklahoma, I deliver a wide range of services. I am constantly engaged with my customers in the management of the products my team is responsible for, including a state-wide on-line benefits application system OKDHSLive.org.Using the SCRUM methodology, I manage a development team that’s focused on several new initiatives. For web applications, C# and Java are the tools of choice and necessity. We are also deeply invested in Adobe LiveCycle for electronic forms design and workflow. For all of our mobile development, we use a host of cross-platform development tools to support the state's iOS and Android base.As a developer, I have a diverse background in several languages, technologies and methodologies. I'm comfortable in mixed database environments ranging from MySQL to Mainframe DB2, telephony technologies, and web technologies, along with server and desktop environments. My workshop is my second office where I'm constantly absorbing new technologies. Over the last year, I've built several embedded systems and devices using platforms like Arduino, Netduino, Spark, Beagle-bone, and Raspberry Pi and Asterisk for VoIP applications. My prototypes and deliverables range from simple display controllers to "Internet of Things" devices that intelligently sense, control and report activities and conditions to the Cloud.

As a member of the Leading-Edge technology group, we worked to evaluate, prove and implement new technologies to advance the agency's I.T. initiatives. Deployed the States first high-availability, multi-node Adobe LiveCycle cluster used to replace an aging document imaging system. Developed a proof of concept form workflow to reduce analog form submissions. Built several proof of concept mobile applications to help guide our mobile development strategies.
