Responsible for identifying which precast concrete elements required cast-in items and the type needed, the order in which the information required was released, identifying problems with details clashing with structural elements and proposing solutions, commenting on precast concrete manufacturing drawings to ensure they were correct.For the installation stage this included reading and creating programmes for ordering concrete panels, steel fixings, and labour forecasts. Also organised the logistics of the shifts, including running the nightshift and precast concrete deliveries. Alder Hey Children's Hospital located in Liverpool is a new build hospital. The structure is comprised of a combination of precast concrete elements. I was responsible for setting out works and quality control. I was responsible for the in-situ foundations for the multi storey car park; the service trench supplying the hospital and the associated in situ out buildings; the roof slab of Zone 7 roof slab, the associated sandwich panels and precast cocnrete single skin cladding installation.

I was the site engineer on a upgrade of a Scottish Water Sewage treatment works. I was responsible for setting out, health and safety and quality of refurbishment of an existing humus tank, installation of low pressure pipes for recirculation pumps, installation of new manholes for the treatment process and hard landscaping works.

In June - July 2008 I was trained for two weeks to identify 30 common types of Potato and Diseases, I then spent 4 weeks carrying out inspections on seed potatoes in Fife. I had to inspect potato crops looking for disease or rouges taking samples where necessary, producing a report on the quality of the crop. From this job I used communication skills a lot as well as improving my report writing skills.
