Ran my own limited company offering independent ODP services across the Midlands area, in all specialties covering anaesthetics, surgery and recovery.

• Responsibilities:
• Manager of team of Anaesthetic Technicians tasked with improving their standards, training and work performance.
• Involves daily management of time, resources and stock and forward planning of training and recruitment.
• Updating policies and procedures.
• Proposals for cap ex.
• Liaise with Nurse Director, Anaesthetists and Surgical Reps to adopt new techniques and equipment.

• Responsibilities:
• Relief Theatre Manager of 12 theatres and 50+ staff including daily problem solving and chaos management to keep theatres running effectively, efficiently and safely.
• Relief Team Leader of 12 Anaesthetic Technicians.
• Seconded as Charge ODP covering maternity leave for General Surgical Charge Nurse. Duties including ordering, staffing, capacity planning and daily management of team.
• Anaesthetic Technician for all specialties.
• Senior Scrub ODP for general and gynaecology including laparoscopic assisting.

Responsibilities:I covered all areas of surgery and anaesthetics including a large amount of recovery work for a variety of specialities including trauma, orthopaedics, ophthalmic, max fax, gynaecology, ENT, general, vascular, day surgery and neurology.
