-Direct, manage and coordinate logistics and transportation of organ and tissue specimens, organs, tissue donors and equipment. -Responsible for overseeing the movement of blood or specimens from donors at donor hospitals to contracted labs and potential recipients’ transplant centers.-Responsible for overseeing the movement of organs from donor recovery hospitals to intended recipients’ transplant programs in collaboration with organ placement specialists and donor recovery specialists in organ operations.-Develop methods and procedures to identify the most efficient method of transportation for blood, specimens, organs and tissue donors while minimizing cost impacts.-Monitor timely documentation of dispatch information by operations staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting and disposition outcome.-Develop new strategies to streamline transportation processes for route optimization.-Work closely with contract couriers, air couriers, air charter companies and operations staff to define prioritization and ensure proper controls over custody of specimens and or organs to ensure prompt movement of packages.-Perform periodic independent system evaluations and develop recommendations for system improvements after performing thorough studies & analysis.-Analyze, design, and manage logistics flow insuring timely communications with key stakeholders within the organization as well as communications with transplant programs & tissue processors.-Collaborate with the Administration Support and Facilities departments for all three regions to oversee the maintenance of the fleet of LifeGift vehicles.-Motivate, organize and encourage inter-departmental teamwork within the workforce to ensure efficient transport of all specimens, organs, tissues and donors.
