CurrentProvide executive leadership for Legacy Turf Farms and Legacy Golf Management company, consisting of a 500-acre sod farm and a portfolio of golf courses. Establish short and long-term goals, business plans and strategies to drive continued growth. Responsible for presiding over workforce of up to 130+, including P&L management and resource allocation. Full accountability to ownership on attainment of revenue goals and assuring alignment with vision and strategic plan. Serve as the face of the organization in dealing with stakeholders, local community and local government. Key Accomplishments: ◼Created marketing strategy to broaden customer base through creating an online presence and implementing a Google AdWords campaign, resulting in driving 4,100 new potential customers on an annual basis◼Reduced footprint to align with market demand, including minimizing land costs and payroll to improve bottom line ◼Purchased additional machinery that expanded product offerings, while reducing labor costs and expanding potential customer base◼Installed a cloud-based POS system to streamline the sales order and production process, while improving access and availability ◼Improved A/R process, resulting in improved profitability, cash flow and a reduction of bad debt write downs ◼Developed a business plan and model for a stand-alone referral company system and executed an acquisition of a competitor◼Successfully negotiated agreement with land developer (Legacy Golf Links), including detailed agreement between the golf course and developer that protected the golf course property lines and playing experience◼Guided Legacy Golf Links through a forced annexation by City of Aberdeen, NC and successfully negotiated a settlement, resulting in $100K cost savings in property taxes over 6 years◼Developed Golf2Go program to speed up play and attract new customers to the game of golf (Featured on The Golf Channel in June 2013)
