Highly experienced member of the Tactical Purchasing Team at Siemens Lincoln working with a cross functional team including Engineering, Manufacturing, Projects/Design and Quality departments all contributing to the building of Gas Generators and Power Turbines manufactured and serviced at the Lincoln business site/s. Daily duties include all purchasing activities including sourcing supply, negotiating price and leadtime before placing orders, liaising with external suppliers on a daily basis building strong trusting relationships via all aspects of media, arranging and chairing supplier meetings to ensure On Time delivery targets are met. General duties incude LTA negotiations, stategic decision making based on mitagated risk to the company whilst aiming to achieve business KPI’s set to measure departmental performance. Currently I also Deputise for my Purchasing Manager covering holidays and business trips, involved with day to day running of the office containing a team of expeditors and buyers, constantly aiming to improve customer satisfaction and delivering an excellent product within tight deadlines.
