In the commercial banking world, everyday is an opportunity to help our clients fulfull their dreams. And, as a loan credit specialist, I get to play a part in that every day. I started my journey in Banking as a part-time teller while getting my MBA. It was during that time that I discovered I could help people for the better while working in a field I came to enjoy. I worked my way from a teller, to a retail banker, attending credit training, and landing my first job as a credit analyst with a local bank called First Bank and Trust. There, I learned the fundamentals and honed what I had learned over the first 5 years in banking. Now, at Hancock Whitney, I am the SBA underwriter for the New Orleans Metro Market while also focusing on other operating companies. In this role, I get to continue to help people in the area I grew up in establish new businesses, purchase business, and keep those employed.Working in commercial banking as a credit analyst has been fulfilling in ways that I did not expect, and I hope to continue to help people strive and reach for their dreams.
