Responsible for overseeing the contract and grants offer under Joined Up for Jobs, including contracts and grants funded via No One Left Behind and the City of Edinburgh Council and working with third sector providers awarded a contract or grant. This includes monitoring, auditing and tracking of all contracts and grants, identifying opportunities for partnership working, facilitating networking and making best use of the support tools we have for the JUfJ network. As well as contracts and grants management, this role includes supporting the development, design, and commissioning of new services with funding secured as required; overseeing the Joined Up for Jobs Charter for service standards of delivery; coordinating a quarterly Joined up for Jobs Forum to support the network; working alongside the management information system and portals team for client tracking; and ensuring best value from spend in this area.

My role includes working on the procurement of services, producing tenders, writing bids, auditing our contracted providers and supporting wider strategic projects.

The Employability and Talent Development Team has a focus on helping predominantly young people in Edinburgh into work, education or training. The team covers 4 area, of which I work in Strategy and Partnership Development, where we aim to identify future opportunities by maximising the value of the partnerships we have forged across the city. Specifically, this will include working on Welfare Reform, supporting looked after and accommodated children (LAAC) in to work, education or training and being a point of contact for City Strategy and Economy within the new localities model adopted by the Council.

The Business Partnerships team recognises the importance of Business Partners in helping to deliver the Economic Strategy objectives of unlocking development, creating jobs and supporting growth through investment. Its remit within Economic Development covers 5 main strands; Edinburgh Business Forum (EBF), Tourism, Town Centre Management, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), and Priority Investment Zones. I currently lead on the process of creating a BID in the West End of Edinburgh, work as the single point of contact for Economic Development to the New Waverley development as part of the "Edinburgh 12" project, manage the EBF website, as well as working on ad-hoc projects daily.

Its remit within Economic Development covers 5 main strands; Edinburgh Business Forum (EBF), Tourism, Town Centre Management, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), and Priority Investment Zones. I currently assist the other Economic Development Officers in the team with a number of projects, while also undertaking smaller projects of my own. My main areas of work currently concern the BIDs, EBF and Strategic Projects such as work on Edinburgh's Town Centres. Work in co-ordination with other teams within my service and other departments, with most projects requiring cross-team working.

Working in the Business Support Team, I helped support all teams within Economic Development with their adminastrative work, along with supporting some officers with their projects.
