Command Warrant Officer (CWO) to Flag Officer Regional Forces (FORF)• Ensured the FORF organisation delivered 2SL PFS (2nd Sea Lord’s Personal Functional Standards) Terms and Conditions of Service, with particular reference to the Recruiting Field Force.• Fulfilled the role of the Headquarters Equality and Diversity Adviser.• Carried out the role of Command building Unit Security Officer.• Acted as one of two Government Procurement Card (GPC) supervisory managers.An accomplished and proactive manager with over thirty years experience of personnel administration in the Royal Navy. • Trained, advised and instructed submarine Tactical Systems and Navigation Departments in their preparation for Operational Safety and Sea Training (OST) to the standards of operational efficiency as required by FOST DN (Flag Officer Sea Training Director) for final assessment.• Participated in the co-ordinating of all warfare: Sea rides, Tasking, Training and visits to other units as required by FOST DN and highlight any manpower or material shortfalls.• Responsible for the sponsorship of Fleet Publication No1 and assisted senior management in the compilation and re-issue of Command Training Group handouts and instructions.• Visited and lectured miscellaneous Command/Tactical teams and courses as required by FOST DN, or as requested by the Royal Navy Submarine School to Train, advise and instruct the Warfare, specifically Tactical Systems and Navigation departments, of up to 13 submarine crews in their preparation for OST to the standards of operational efficiency required by FOST DN for final Operational and Safety assessment by Royal Navy Fleet Command.

Leaadership Academy Course Officer.• Provided Leadership and Management training, iaw the approved Royal Navy Leadership Academy training syllabus, for courses of up to 40 personnel.• Ensured Quality control by staffing of student end of course reports.• Supervised the safety of staff and students during their posting to RNLA (E) by carrying out Dynamic Risk Assessments for all evolutions as required.• Carried out the role of RNLA (E) Duty Officer.

• Accountable to the Commanding Officer, within a defined sphere of influence, for the management, delivery of training and employment of all warfare officers and TS ratings. Furthermore, was also responsible for the effective operation of all Action Information Organisation, Above Water Warfare and navigation related equipments in a department of up to 20 personnel.• Divisional Officer (Line Manager) to all TS junior ranks in a team of up to 15 individuals.• Managed the whole ship BSQ (Basic Submarine Qualification) training, which incorporated Submarine and Basic systems qualification training and monitoring of up to 350 trainees per year.• Also responsible for the training, employment and coordination of all ratings and officers in the surface navigation union• During this 18 year period carried out two secondment phases:1994 to 1997: Advanced Detection and Analysis Centre (ADAC).• Accountable, to the Director ADAC, for the in-depth scrutiny and analysis of multinational submarine operational patrol records.• Responsible for the production, quality control and distribution of post patrol analysis reports.2004 to 2006: Maritime Warfare Centre (MWC) (Operations (Tactical Systems) Sea Rider.• Responsible to the Director MWC for the production, distribution and adherence to complex, multi National/Agency, Operational Trial Orders.• Accountable to the Head of Submarine Warfare analysis (MWC) for the collation and analysis of post trial records and reports.• Produced post analysis trial reports, observations and recommendations.• Participated in the production of Operational Submarine Weapon Trial Requirements orders, specifically target generation and submarine record requirements.
