My legal practice focuses on representing clients in business transactions, including real estate and business organization transactions. I have had a number of clients tell me they appreciate my “practical” approach to solving problems. I take that as high praise. You can read more about my legal background under "Experience."Although I was born in Southern California, I spent time in many different places (Texas, Germany, Greece and Spain with interim stops in California). I earned my undergraduate business management degree from California State University-Long Beach, after which I began working for R&B Realty Group, first as an internal auditor and then as one of their property managers at a variety of different corporate housing locations, ranging in size from 200 units to 1500 units. In 1989, I began working for a small construction company that built apartments where I helped with the design process and the marketing of the property. When the lending market dried up, I left the construction company and rejoined R&B Realty Group as a budget analyst in their east coast regional office. In 1993 I was accepted at Georgetown University Law Center, graduating in 1996, magna cum laude, and as a member of the Order of the Coif. After completing my second year of law school, I was hired as a summer associate at Lionel Sawyer & Collins. In May 1996, I joined the firm in the Reno office. After over 18 years with Lionel Sawyer, in January, 2015, I moved my practice to the regional law firm of Fennemore which, in recent years, has been one of the fastest-growing (and best, in my opinion) law firms in the country!
