Current- Modeled engineering components and conducting finite element analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks or ANSYS software.
- Wrote and won two Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant proposals that focused on developing new additive manufacturing (3D printing) techniques and materials, specifically using Inconel-718, Stainless Steel.
- Researched and tested carbon fiber (SiC) weaving techniques to improve material properties such as thermal swelling and brittleness.
- Conducted design optimizing analyses of fluid control volumes and mechanical components, and prepared documents summarizing those analyses.
- Designed mechanical structures and tools such as pressure vessels, nuclear core retaining structures, lifting rigs, and manufacturing-specific tooling.
- Developed Monte-Carlo, mechanical, and fluid computational models of phenomena such as mechanical creep (thermal and irradiative), hydraulic piston effects, and statistical analysis of thermal-hydraulic and nuclear.
