I have been a School Social Worker for six years giving educational trainings, completing organizational need assessments, developing relationships with community agencies and creating mental health awareness. Time management and overseeing multiple tasks at the same time are two of my best skills. Since I oversee three different school buildings and service over sixty clients it is essential for me to be well organized, detailed oriented, and an outstanding communicator. I developed my own electronic documentation system to assist with scheduling and for tracking trends for overall services. This data analysis allows me to evaluate services and identify areas where improvements can be made in an organization. Developing relationships with community members and coordinating with others are also important skills I possess. Understanding various systems and how organizations can work together is something I enjoy doing. Many times I function as a liaison between mental health and the school system helping educate staff and connect family to resources.
