Hackman Frames is a unique picture frame manufacturing company, in several different ways.We make the moldings for our frames in-house, which allows us to offer over one hundred different frame profiles without having to inventory thousands of feet of stock. We make the molding as needed. It also allows us to produce oem moldings, reproductions, and customer designs easily.Having much experience as artists and framers in NYC, exhibiting artwork, and framing for the top galleries and museums, we have a passion for sharing our knowledge with artists, galleries, retail designers, and private collectors all over the country.Many of the craftsmen at Hackman Frames are working artists, and understand our role as frame makers, which is to do everything we can to make our clients' artwork look it's very best. It's great to be able to make a good picture frame, but but it's even better to make the correct frame.In addition to manufacturing, we provide world class services. We understand and perform the latest conservation services. This includes fitting of the artwork into the frames, hinging and mounting works on paper, producing the finest silk mats in the country, and specialized display techniques, like floaters and artifact frames. With our extensive knowledge of the history of the picture frame and our frame making skills, Hackman Frames is uniquely qualified to restore and refurbish antique and damaged picture frames.Specialties: We specialize in made to order picture frames, many of which are hand carved and gilded.
