Oversight of the construction, systemization, startup, and operation of all equipment related to the chemical processes and utilities related to the accelerated design. Oversight of the development of Standard Operating Procedures, System Design Descriptions, Limiting Conditions of Operation, Logic Diagrams, Instrumentation and mechanical data sheets, procurement documentation for process and mechanical related equipment, Hazardous Work Permits, and Systemization Test Plans and Reports. Served as a shift engineer and the focal point for all Process related issues in the neutralization portion of the Accelerated ABCDF. Develops operational plans for testing the process equipment. Provided technical input to the 25 gallon testing that demonstrated the process approach for the accelerated ABCDF. Coordinated with the Bechtel Aberdeen Operations, Safety, Environmental, Procurement and Construction entities as well as client related organizations (AMSAA, USACHPPM, DSHE, MDE, PMATA, PMCD, etc). The plant was designed and fabricated within a year. Startup testing lasted for approximately 2 months and operations are ongoing. The plant has successfully destroyed over 30 ton containers of the chemical agent HD.
