Lived with a family in Chinotimba, Zimbabwe, to understand the challenges that microenterprises and their resource-constrained entrepreneurs face while trying to establish stable livelihoods in a difficult business environment. This led to the testing of various hypotheses for how services delivered over mobile devices could improve access to knowledge, markets, and capital.

Responsible for planning and coordinating the World Wide Web Foundation's fundraising program, which secured $13m in its first three years under the leadership of CEO, Steve Bratt, and the inventor of the Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee.The Web Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to achieving a world in which all people can use the Web to communicate, collaborate and innovate freely, building bridges across the divides that threaten our shared future.
