Today’s dynamic business environment requires transformational leadership with the proven capacity to identify and capture new opportunities, resolve complex issues hindering success, and navigate potential pitfalls. These are areas in which I have excelled during my 20+ year career.Like many of my contemporaries, my life and career have been motivated and informed by my participation in sports, competitive and recreational, during my childhood, adolescent, and collegiate years. The drive to achieve both athletically and academically led me to college and participation in college football. Competing in the sport taught me lessons that have transcended the playing field and become pillars of the life I have lived. Among these are the benefits derived from hard work, pursuing excellence, and teamwork in achieving complex and difficult goals: benefits that I have passed along to my 3 sons as I have coached their athletic teams and guided them through the trials of life. It also led me into a career in the health and fitness industry that commenced in the area of exercise physiology and developed, through various management roles, into a senior capacity as Area Manager of 4 fitness clubs on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for the nation’s premier luxury fitness company. Along the way, I established a record of achievement in driving membership increases, elevating revenues, controlling costs, recruiting/developing promotable staffs, and exceeding established performance metrics. In addition to directing day-to-day operations, I also led major projects and initiatives including a $30 million renovation project of an 8-floor, 180 thousand square foot fitness center including court sports, café, and roof deck and leading the creation of “Cycle for Survival,” a charity that raised $300 million for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.More recently, I applied my background to the leadership of corporate, retail, and event security programs and initiatives for a leading global provider of security solutions to high-profile brands and clients. In capacities as Supervisor of Apple Corporation’s corporate office in New York City and NYC Supervisor for retail locations of premier brands, I cultivated the experience and built the skill sets that culminated into advancement into the role of Operations Manager in which I provided oversight to 4 field supervisors and their staffs engaged in execution of security programs and management of relationships at Apple’s 4 Manhattan corporate locations.Contact me to discuss career opportunities or business trends.
