Evaluate and determine the current status and operability of emergency communications systems statewide, including the 9-1-1 centers located throughout the state. Recommend Guidelines and standards for operation of emergency communications systems. Determine the need for, and cost of, upgrades of emergency communications systems. Serve as the single point of contact for service providers and vendors of 9-1-1 equipment. Recommend funding mechanisms for future implementation of upgrades. Develop a deployment plan for 9-1-1.Serve as project manager including the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects.
