During my time at Sable, I was the sole petrophysicist on staff. I was responsible for acquiring and analyzing log and core data for the company. I worked with a talented team of geoscientists incorporating the outputs of these efforts into maps and geo-models contributing to high grading drilling targets and acreage. While at Sable I wore multiple hats; I frequently had development planning responsibilities and took on the role of operations geologist regularly. I worked with multi-disciplinary teams to design and plan multi-well developments in the Wolfcamp formation in the Southern Midland Basin. Operational responsibilities were around the clock including geo-steering to assure maximum lateral footage in target zone.

During my time at Plains which was later acquired by Freeport I worked with a small team of petrophysicists. I gained valuable experience in multiple basins and many different play types. I performed petrophysical evaluations onshore and offshore and was frequently involved in overseeing logging operations. There were many sleepless nights supervising advanced formation pressure and fluid sampling jobs in the Gulf of Mexico. I routinely worked with engineering staff to design and and supervise these fluid and pressure testing programs for operated wells in the gulf. I supported the efforts of the exploration team and did extensive regional evaluations on multiple plays including Wilcox, Miocene and Pliocene. I was also involved in deep water international projects and supported the operations geology team in formation evaluation related activities. I had multiple opportunities to participate in asset valuations and screen potential acquisitions with corporate M&A staff.

I started my career as a wireline field engineer for Baker in Alice, TX. I logged hundreds of wells across South Texas onshore and inland waters and interfaced directly with clients. I was fortunate to receive formal training on multiple advanced logging services and was able to field test multiple prototype logging tools. After completing the field engineer progression I transitioned to operations management in Victoria and later was promoted to district manager with a fairly large and diverse team. As an operations manager I was primarily focused on improving operating efficiency, customer support and service, support of sales staff, and continually improving safety metrics. Later as district manager I was able to focus on growing the business and managing the career progression of direct reports.
