Engineer-in-Training with Associated Engineering's Strategic Services team. My role is to provide support and strategic guidance on climate mitigation and adaptation, asset management, transportation, and water & wastewater projects. I work with a range of small and large municipalities in Alberta and BC, as well as with First Nations clients.

Policy Analyst position at Infrastructure Canada on the Infrastructure and the Environment Team focused on climate adaptation and resilient infrastructure policy.-Revised the risk assessment methodology of the Climate Lens, Infrastructure Canada's assessment process for projects receiving federal funding through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP - $33 billion in funding over 10 years).-Analyzed the results and reviewed the processes of the Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF - $2 billion) to provide direction for a potential second call for proposals. -Drafted objectives, project timelines, and shaped overall direction of the work to be undertaken by the Federal, Provincial and Territorial Working Group on Infrastructure and Resilience. The purpose of this working group is to assist federal and provincial governments in building a common understanding of resilient infrastructure, and to facilitate collaboration and the sharing of best practices in this space. -Provided policy direction for the incoming government on water, wastewater, and solid waste projects. This included direction surrounding the Wastewater Systems Effluent Regulations, the Strategy on Zero Plastic Waste, and other issues, such as lead in drinking water.-Researched national and international best practices for building and maintaining climate resilient infrastructure, methodologies for climate risk assessments, financial mechanisms to promote resilient infrastructure, and strategies for the implementation and valuation of natural and hybrid infrastructure.-Met and consulted with a wide range of Canadian stakeholders, ranging from: municipalities, provincial governments, members of the insurance industry, climate resilient design and construction consultants, regional climate data organizations, academics, as well as other federal departments such as ECCC, NRCan, and Public Safety.

Provided assistance to a local NGO working on water and wastewater projects in informal settlements in Delhi and Agra.-Planned and designed improvements to two decentralized water treatment systems located in developing communities in New Delhi-Conducted and implemented research on best practices for pond remediation to facilitate groundwater recharge and mitigate stormwater flooding at a developing community in Agra -Completed cost estimation for projects

Research Internship as a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship in partnership with The University of Calgary, University of Moratuwa, and the International Institute for Infrastructure Resilience and Reconstruction (IIIRR).-Authored a paper on ICS implementation and utilization by Sri Lankan government agencies-Studied challenges of ICS use in developing countries

-Created a work breakdown structure for the Green Line LRT project-Authored a report on economic diversification at Transit Oriented Development sites in Calgary with input from Calgary Economic Development-Organized a panel discussion with international speakers on the topic of shifting transportation mode choices-Organized and attended community outreach sessions to provide information to stakeholders and the general public

-Authored and coauthored Emergency Response Plans for use by the City Water Department-Assisted in organizing and participated in tabletop exercises focusing on at-risk areas of the City’s water distribution system -Incident Command System 100 (ICS 100) certified-Organized file transfer to the Livelink document management system -Prepared Excel spreadsheets to organize and catalogue the training of Water Emergency Response Team members -Dealt with issues arising from projector and computer technology in the Emergency Water Operations Centre (H2OC)

-Authored a review paper on recent advancements in Airport People Mover systems (APMs) for the Founding Dean Emeritus of the Schulich School of Engineering-Researched winter disaster analysis and extreme weather conditions in the Alberta region-Assisted the Founding Dean Emeritus in transcribing a book on transportation engineering

-Updated and edited engineering drawings in Microstaion V8 and V8i-Reviewed civil and electrical engineering schematics to ensure quality for clients -Assisted engineers with transmittal of drawing to clients on-site-Worked with the ProjectWise document management system
