When I was a kid, I'd constantly bombard my parents with a seemingly endless stream of "why" and "what if" questions. These were often ridiculous, but nonetheless, both plagued and stoked the curiosity that seemed to continually engulf my young mind. Eventually, I grew to know and love the process of learning new things - I even got "The Big Book of Knowledge" for Christmas one year, and read it cover-to-cover...multiple times!To this day, that curiosity is still very much alive - although much more mature and guided than it was as a child. I believe that sparking the natural, intuitive curiosity that is programmed into each and every one of us is the key to unlocking our true potentials. To cease to be curious is to cease growing. I have vastly diverse professional experience that poses me to be in a uniquely impactful position. My experience encompasses work as an electrician, as a logistics coordinator, as a data analyst, as a renovations specialist, and as a patent drafter. Among the skills I learned and continued to hone, I have extensive exposure to customer-facing interactions, helping people understand technically intricate concepts, reducing an idea to its most basic essence, and maintaining a big-picture perspective on business needs. My formal education led me to The Citadel - The Military College of South Carolina. They say that everyone who graduates from The Citadel exits with at least two degrees - whatever you majored in, and Leadership. I majored in Physics and (you guessed it) Leadership. Rather than preparing me with a specific skill set for a particular career path, my Physics degree taught me the ability to figure things out. I don't believe it's a coincidence, then, that I have such varied experience - from renovating houses to drafting patent applications. The more experience I gain, the more it evidences to me the versatility and cross-functional applicability of having what I like to call "A bachelor's degree in Figuring Stuff Out." My personal goal is to maintain a posture of learning and growing myself as a whole - whether that means reading books about emotional intelligence, pursuing further education, or simply exploring the depths of whatever has captured my attention. As part of that personal development, I am currently in the beginning stages of learning cryptocurrency technology, I'm fascinated by the concept of both optical and electrical quantum computing, and I am figuring out how to make the absolute best breakfast burrito.
