Craig is an experienced financial services professional and is qualified in business with specialist expertise in financial services governance, risk management and compliance, technical services, taxation and financial strategy. His qualifications include a Masters in Taxation (UNSW), a Bachelor of Business (Monash University) and a Diploma in Financial Planning (Deakin University).He currently heads up Operation Risk and Compliance at Copia Investment Partners, an independent investment management firm partnering with a select group of specialist domestic and international investment managers.He is a Registered Tax Agent and a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with the Tax Institute, a Senior Fellow of FINSIA, a Fellow of the FAAA (and recipient of the Distinguished Service Award), a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Fellow and SMSF Specialist Advisor of the SMSF Association. He has been a Responsible Manager on a number of AFSLs and sat on board sub-committees and external forums. Craig has tremendous experience in banking and financial services and over the last 20 years has combined executive management with compliance, risk management and technical services to provide lawyers, accountants, financial advisers and risk specialists with leadership and guidance in the changing world of professional investment and advisory. As a technical specialist he provides strategy, research and technical guidance on aspects on tax management, business structuring, personal and business estate planning, superannuation and retirement planning, social security and aged care.He is a strong advocate of professionalism and higher education standards in financial planning and has contributed to various committees and working groups of the FAAA (formerly FPA & AFA), SMSFA, FSC, FINSIA and ANZIIF. He has authored many research papers and sat on the Editorial Panel for the LexisNexis Australian Tax Law Bulletin.
